...In the Name of ALLAH...
it's may 24th. already, i'm a year older than myself yesterday. may this year's gonna be a better one for me...insha-ALLAH...
my awesome friends hosted a simple 'surprise' party for me just 15 min before midnight. it's pretty predictable, actually, with manche's blunt comment that he's gonna come back soon enough. but, their efforts really made me happy. they bought me a cheesecake and a large fruit tart. awhhhh! うれしいいい。。。。 >___< (i don't mind repeating that they're awesome friends, they really are!)
in the morning, we went for a picnic at Niagara Falls, together with parents of aimi, napi, suhail, and boss. guess what, napi's mom shared same birthdate with me! napi and aimi bought her a cake and sang the birthday song as a family. somehow, it feels like home. after lunch, we all went for a ride on the maid of the mist to watch the beautiful ALLAH's creation, the Niagara Falls! then, we had great time enjoying the water 'stabbing' at the back at the cave of the wind. pretty painful, but it's really fun! after 3 years in the States, it's my 1st time to arrive at this point...so wasteful of time, i know. but at least, i got to celebrate the day together with dila, who's gonna return to Malaysia for good. i'm quite satisfied with that...
all in all, i'm so thankful of having these wonderful friends a.k.a. sisters and brothers all around me today, to celebrate the beautiful weather, and my birthday...TOGETHER.
birthday Coach wristlets from two best buddies: dila + pao =)
present from a 10-year friend: jijie ^__^

Today is the RIT graduation commencement for class of 2010. I should've been 1 of those walking down the stage, name proudly announced to audience, and receiving scrolls for all the hard work. But I'm gonna grad in May 2011, and that's my own choice. I wouldn't regret it... Anyway, back to the ceremony. I went to the College of Science reception and met many of our professors. Since I was not a graduate, so I came as a photographer of the day, though my camera is not big and powerful enough to compete with others...hmpphhh~
Some came with their family members, and it's refreshing to watch their excited reactions. As for those whose parents did not coming, they were still happy with adopted 'fake' parents, cousins, and even neighbors as companies during the memorable day. I wonder if my parents will be able to attend mine next year... (>__<) I did not get to sit properly at the Ice Arena where the ceremony for COS took place; I felt like a small kid sitting behind tall bars. When we watched the Malay graduates entering the arena amongst crowd of people wearing graduation gowns and caps, I felt such mixed feelings: happy, proud, sadness, loneliness. Indescribable emotions lingered around me. Over there, there went my 4-year roomie, housemates, classmates, awesome seniors, including those 3 from my batch graduating early [dila, tirah, aimi]. Too bad my camera battery got weak and dead soon after the event; so there were not much pictures/videos I could take.
I would try my best to not cry my heart out with my awesome friends' graduation today...since this is not a goodbye, but "see you later"...
I LOVE YOU GUYS! THANKS for the wonderful memories together all these years~
May you are blessed in life, and have a bright future ahead...all the best!

Everything we do should be done in a moderate way. Islam teaches us: sebaik-baik perkara adalah bersederhana.Sabda Rasulullah s.a.w., "Bagi setiap yang terkurang akan mendatangkan keburukan dan setiap yang berlebih-lebihan akan mendatangkan kerosakan."
This is absolutely true. In life, there are things we should enjoy and have fun with, but deep inside we must always remember the purpose of life: to serve HIM in the way Islam teaches us. I have fallen into life's trap too many times. Currently, cannonballs which attack me nonstop are Korean shows. I cannot stop watching them, again and again, it's screwing up my biological clock during this break. Not a single day I missed to sleep at the earliest 5 am. In a way, I can wait for subuh prayer, that's good. The bad part is that I woke up late in the afternoon, missing my precious breakfast time and peaceful bird-chirping morning (as if there were any bird around!)
Starting with: Interest ---> Addiction ---> Obsession!
I managed to get over TVXQ for a while, and now other K-celebrities are in my head. Ah, I'm going crazy! Life is too wonderful and full of seducing poison. In the end, it's either heaven or hell our final destination. Advice to all of us including me: Let's make istighfar, zikr and selawat our life "oxygen", HIS love would never be beaten by weak human emotions. ALLAH s.w.t. is the only and greatest God, Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. is the perfect role model. Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu akbar!

It's New Year 2010! Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010! Make memories of 2009, and start to look forward for good things ahead. Many stuff are waiting, many are changing, including my age is increasing 1 more year (o___O). New year resolutions? I don't know, I just want to better myself in things I'm doing right now.I'm in love with Ssangchu Couple (Lettuce Couple) in a reality show "We Got Married". It's a fake marriage between younger groom and older bride, but the way hyunjoong treated his bride hwangbo is too cute! They're not romantic but appealing enough to make me addicted to their charms. These are their 100th day wedding pics. Ohh...totally apples of my eyes...

I dreamt about them last night, not sure if I became his bride or what... *shy* *shy*

Winter break with another 5 days. At times like this, the urge to do things I like really is a ferocious attack, but as usual I don't manage to do everything perfectly as I wish. Too much nafsu in a female, as we can see. I have a loooong must-to-do list, meaning here a list of important things: study Japanese, study for Art class, study for next exams. I would encounter with the bolded word more often from now on. Also an in-class presentation about a Buddhist deity, Yakushi Buddha (?). The course is an Art class, but strange enough, I'm learning about Buddhism, Confucianism and a lot other religions (except Islam?). Uhuh...I'm developing a high interest into Korean language here. Am watching a lot of YT videos, all concerning Korean this and that. Poor my Japanese, after my JPNL minor has finished, I really should take another class for a good practice but Advanced course is too hard! T___TI haven't upload any picture from south/midwest roadtrip yet. Lot of pics to choose from. Maybe later. Sorry for those trip members whom are still waiting for the not-so-nicely-taken pics, haha.
for a tease pic. not in the pic: lan & aiman. sorry guys!P/S: More stories of the roadtrip are revealed in pao's blog :)

ALHAMDULILLAH!All praises to HIM, for everything He prepares for us.
A phrase that made my heart skipped a beat: "...I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected to participate in the KIT 2010 summer exchange program." A dream comes true! Happy to read it, nervous (or excited?) to think whatever is awaiting for me ahead. Many stuff lingers in my head for now, even exam materials not enough to cover up the heavy clouds. I am making the decision and hope it will be the best for me.
Thank You ALLAH!~

I love Korean and Japanese languages very much. I take time to watch dramas, listening to songs, practicing in classes and with friends. Learning new languages is not easy, but it would not be too difficult if we keep practicing. That's the essence of learning foreign language.Just feel like sharing my top list of Korean and Japanese drama/movies:Korean:- My Girl- Spring Waltz (awesome OST!)- Goong- 18vs29- My Lovely Samsoon- Jewel in the Palace- My Little BrideJapanese:- Love Letter- Hana Yori Dango + sequels- Long Vacation- Tada Kimi wo Aishiteru- Nodame Cantabile- Proposal DaisakusenThis list should be longer, but enough for now. I love OSTs for these shows, they're too wonderful. Watching fictions somehow makes me happier, as if I can escape from reality to stop and enjoy another world from a particular perspective. Sometimes, I feel that immersing myself into dramas is better than keeping up-to-date with depressing current news in real world... at least they're not real. You can say, "What's the use to run away from reality? It will catch up to you in no time." You're right. You certainly can argue with me about this, well this is how I handle my stress. I get a point here, right? Guess so...*shrugs*
Can't wait to know the result for KIT application in few weeks, wonder if I get to go to Japan under the ticket of summer study abroad, or not? For you who read this, please PRAY for the BEST for me. Thank you! ^.^

...In the Name of ALLAH...
It's Final week, and today is already Thursday. But, I'm still not getting my freedom out of this fall quarter. Sigh. Tomorrow, genetics paper will end it for me. Praying for the best after the turned-out-to-be-not-so-good genomics this morning. Sigh.I feel like writing so just read whatever junk/idea? I'm typing in here. I used to be an observer. Sometimes I did not feel affected so much when it comes to others. Also, I was one of many who made accusation to people. Bad, huh? That's how I used to be, I believe. Right now, I often prefer to put myself in someone's shoes, to get the feeling and sensation by being him/her/them. As an outsider for personal or business affairs, we can simply lift our finger and point out to this or that person, blaming the guilt onto them. But are we really sure if we're right, and they're wrong? Business deals with a world too diverse, too many people involved, money matters cannot be left out. We say they're greedy, sick, terrible, but that's how world revolves. maybe they're not completely at fault, maybe it's because bad timing? Oh, now I get it how lawyers or judges go through everyday dealing with their jobs. Uhuh, I don't know where is this going though. I'm just trying to say in simpler words, I am being victimized by entertainment industry!! AAaaaa!~Study. NOW!
